Accounting & Finance Division

Applicants: Undergraduate

Welcome

student portraitsAs a student at Stirling you will be trained to understand the world of accounting and finance, and to apply and convey your knowledge in a professional manner. We aim to produce students who are well informed, skilled in the interpretation and analysis of financial information and who are confident in oral communication. While the Division is extremely highly rated for research, above all we offer a student-centred approach, with a strong commitment to student support and excellence in teaching.

The Divisional Newsletter provides more evidence on the success of the Division and its students over the last year.

Within the Division there are two main disciplines, accounting and finance.  Your degree will include elements of both, but you can choose to specialise in either.

On that basis, if you want to combine both disciplines BAcc Acc & Fin degree is the programme you are looking for. If your focus is only on accounting you should read about the BAcc degree programme. Alternatively, you may be more interested in finance and want to look at the BA Finance programme.

The Division also offers the following two degrees: Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Finance and Investment and Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Accounting. These programmes are only available to those students who have completed the earlier part of the programme at Beijing-USA College or Only College, Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Additionally, International students can study our Undergraduate Certificate if they do not possess the necessary entrance requirements to be admitted directly to the first year of an undergraduate degree programme.
